Another Normal Week

This week, for a science experiment, we blew up a balloon using baking soda and vinegar. We discussed how the mixing the two materials makes a gas called carbon dioxide, the same thing we breathe out of our bodies. I thought Asher understood until I asked him 2 minutes later what we breathe out and responded, "our nose". Too funny.
Rob left on a work trip to Boone, NC for 3 days to test a bridge as part of his job. He enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
The bridge wasn't too bad looking itself.
But the best looking part of the whole trip was the Jeff Hinman family. Rob's brother and family drove 2 hours to meet up with him, chat, and enjoy dinner. Thanks guys!
Sunday walk and mountain climbing (Jacqueline climbed up all by herself)
Sunday rides (you can tell who's in charge here)
Some friends organized a sports camp and we were able to hop in and join them for a day. Asher had a blast running bases, throwing water balloons, and touching a "real frisbee" (i.e. not Mom's trivet).
Another visit to the Air and Space Museum, this time with friend Rachael
Space Shuttle Challenger in the background
Proof I was there
When Rob returned from his trip, the kids enjoyed some quiet reading time with daddy.
Asher's own experiement: sending leaves flying above the running air conditioning unit.
 Making breakfast together.
Another good week.
