My Orange Haired Son's Birthday

If you comment on Asher's red hair, and he hears you, he will correct you and tell you that his hair is orange, not red. He also likes to be called a big boy and not a little boy. Obviously, he is becoming more and more independent all the time and often tells me  that he does not need my help and can, as he says, "do it myself". Of course he throws fits here and there, we all do, but overall he is an enjoyable, helpful and intelligent boy.

Our independent kiddo is now officially 3.Like most kids, he loves pizza and chicken nuggets and so we celebrated his birthday with a Little Caesars pizza (Rob took half a day off so he could join us) and later McDonald's for dinner. Yum!!!????
He has reached the stage where he loves imaginative play and so I found the perfect present from Rob and I to our creative big boy, a castle. The teddy bear was the monster attacking the castle. Asher invited the teddy bear in.

Asher loves the normal boy things: construction equipment, airplanes, motorcycles, and trains. He also LOVES books. He received a Thomas the train from Grandma and Grandpa Hinman and a Tonka dumptruck (Rob says it's a glorified version of what he had as a boy) and books from Grandma and Grandpa Wilkerson so he was a pretty happy kid. A dragon that goes with his castle from Aunt Allie and Uncle Jeff finished the birthday.

Thanks for choosing to join our family kiddo. Happy 3rd Birthday Asher!
