Homeowners!!!

Yep, that's right. We are now homeowners. And one of the best parts? We didn't even have to move. Our landlords decided that they wanted to follow the prophets and get out of debt, in their case mortgage debt, as fast as possible and decided to sell the townhouse that we had been renting from them. Coincidentally, we had started looking for a more permanent residence several months before but nothing had worked out, so when the offer came to buy the townhouse we were mentally and monetarily in the position to move forward quickly.

Because no realtor was involved, we and our landlords were able to save money and I was able to "play realtor" by organizing the whole closing. I don't think we will ever sell through a realtor because the process wasn't that difficult, especially with all the great internet resources out there nowadays. We closed 2 weeks after signing the purchase agreement. 

Wahoo! Homeowners without moving and now we are saving money through equity every month and I can change whatever I want!
