Mom, Cayla and Michelle Come to Visit

My mom, sister Cayla and her friend Michelle came out for a D.C. tour and crashed at our place for the week. We really enjoyed having them here.

Most of the time Asher and I manned the home-front while the visitors  went touring, but we did participate in two events: the Luray Caverns and the National Zoo.

The Luray Caverns were amazing! The stalactite and stalagmite formations were some of the best I have ever seen. Thanks for taking us Mom!

One scary moment at the zoo was when I stopped to take a picture of Cayla and Michelle next to a statue and parked the stroller right behind me, my foot nearly touching the stroller. When I turned around one minute later the stroller was gone. Needless to say, my heart dropped and I quickly took an account that everyone in our party was there and the stroller was not with them. I turned just in time to see the stroller about to turn a bend with a strange woman. She and her party had also stopped to take a picture near this particular statue and had grabbed the wrong stroller. I wasn't emotionally stable the rest of the day.

Thanks for coming out Mom! We look forward to many visits hopefully soon!
