One of my favorite pianists is Paul Cardall. What makes Paul a truly unique pianist, is not his international acclaim, but that he was born with half a heart and has undergone numerous heart surgeries including a heart transplant. For Christmas, a good friend gave me the book Before My Heart Stops: A Memoir, about Paul's experiences and his faith in a loving Father in Heaven. To add to my joy, my sister (who lives in Provo) happened to notice that Paul was going to perform a free concert at the Washington D.C. Temple Visitors Center and notified me immediately. I was able to attend with a good friend and we both thoroughly enjoyed the concert.
