For Asher's actual birthday we went to McDonald's and picked up some food which we took to a local park to eat. It down poured. The kids were not able to play on the equipment but they did enjoy an adventure in the rain. It was good that he was having a birthday party with friends on the weekend.
I went a little crazy planning a birthday party for Asher. I blame Pinterest as there are way too many cute ideas! It was also my post-baby therapy. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
We also invited a bunch of Asher's friends expecting some of them to say no, but only two said no so we ended up having 24 kids there. The more the merrier!
Asher helped whenever possible cutting, gluing, holding, sharing ideas of what he wants. He learned patience preparing for the party since we started so far in advance.
Without much ado here's the details:

Games included sheep throws, dragon riding and musical dragons.

| We held the event at a park so the kids could play on their own in between the games. |
 |
| Party favor bags |
 |
| Decor. The background flag was made from dollar store tablecloths |
 |
| Toothless pinata that I made |
 |
| The Cake. Did you know they have edible frosting sheets? |

| Look at that smile on the birthday boy's face. |
Happy 5th birthday Asher! We love you lots kiddo.
