March

March flew by with no sickness or injuries to note. Wahoo! I feel like we are in a good spot right now.
Jacqueline helping to wash the table. I include pictures like these so I can
pull them out when our kids are teenagers and are no longer self-motivated to help. :)
I had the idea to ask Asher help Jacqueline say a family night prayer instead of me. He was surprised by my request at first of course. Jacqueline started giggling during each of the first 6 words that Asher asked her to say because she thought the situation was funny that Asher instead of mommy was helping her. They now love this method and request it often.

A man by the name of Larry Lawver from our ward congregation used to be a fighter pilot and fly the F-4 Phantom's. Rob had the great idea to invite him over for a family home evening and share some of his experiences with us. Brother Lawver was more then willing and did an excellent job. He said he liked it because it gave him an excuse to wear his flight suit again. He shared a short message about the different formations that a group of airplanes fly in and their leadership (parents and kids) and also talked about flight plans (scriptures) and then told a bunch of stories and used some model airplanes so we and Asher could visualize it all. It was GREAT! Thanks for coming over Bro. Lawver!
Happy kids with a real flight helmet on
My mom sent a hair kit full of bows, headbands, ponytails, hair de-tangler etc. for Easter. For the most part Jacqueline is really enjoying having her hair done every day (now that it's finally long enough).
Happy with her ponytails
This little girl loves her brother!!! Here she is trying to climb a spider web at a local park (supposedly for ages 5 on up).

Asher's playdough figure of me. He says that it has a big belly on front.
We learned about dinosaurs one of the weeks this month. Asher wanted to keep learning about them. Maybe he will end up an archaeologist like his great-uncle Aaron.

Jacqueline on her future "big girl" bed. We bought the frame used and I painted it white.

Ps. Remember that Jacqueline lost a lot of weight because of her recurring illnesses?  She gained 3 pounds in one month! When asked by the doctor how I did it I responded that it was the good all-american diet of fatty and sugary foods and she told me to keep it up. That made me laugh out loud.
