Asher's bed at the hotel (a half hour or so from the beach) ended up being a couch since they didn't have the pack and play they originally said they'd have. We couldn't complain much since the stay was free. I loved Rob's creativity to keep the little guy contained.
We had a couple body boards and played all day in the water, switching off turns to watch Asher who had no interest in the water. Asher loved the sand, and fortunately stayed under the umbrella the entire time so he didn't end up burning like Rob and I. A late night driving and lots of stimulation led Asher to fall asleep in Rob's arms after a quick song or two. He enjoyed a nice nap under the umbrella.
Rob also picked up sand burns from his attempts to avoid hitting people on the busy beach with the body board.
We had a great time and hope to do this again sometime!
