Dusting
This last week I was dusting and noticed Asher following me around and watching me carefully. I handed him the duster and moved his arm back and forth on a table top and said "Yeah" (our standard thing when he does something good). He then spent the next 15 minutes going around the house moving the duster back and forth on different objects: the table, chair, plant, floor....
I think it helped that the duster is somewhat stick-like.
Stirring
Asher wants to be held while cooking, I assume because there so many new things occurring. He likes to stir and I hand him a spatula and empty bowl and he's content for a few minutes. He is especially excited when I bring a bowl full of something down to his level and let him stir.
Laundry
This morning Asher watched me carefully when I moved clothes from the washer to the dryer. He grabbed a piece of laundry and I lifted him up to place it in the dryer. He "did" the rest of the laundry for me :). Some of the items in the washer were farther back then he could comfortably reach and it was funny watching him balance on the edge and kick his legs trying to reach the back items.
Dishes
While in the middle of dishes Asher came over and placed an item in the dishwasher, closed the door, slapped the button area and walked away looking very satisfied.
When do you think I can hand over the household chores to him?
20 Nov. update
I wiped down a child-size table and Asher found a rag somewhere and started wiping it down too. In the living room he "cleaned" the coffee table.
